Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Detained En Route To Game

Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, was detained by police on Sunday on his way to Hard Rock Stadium to play the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Rosenhaus said Hill still plans to play in Sunday’s season opener.

“This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police,” the Miami Dolphins wrote on social media. “He has since been released. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support. Tyreek and all other players involved have safely arrived to the stadium and will be available for today’s game.”

According to ESPN NFL reporter Jeff Darlington in conversation with Rosenhaus, Hill was given “a ticket for a moving violation entering the stadium.”

The Miami-Dade police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
